The chairs fell apart at the center supports of the legs. So the problem was that the pilot holes were not drilled at the right angle and the assemblers could have been more careful – and now at my store at least they know better. It is covered with a thin polyester- paper type…kind of like the fabric used on the under side of a sofa. It also has plain metal screws every six inches or so holding the fabric in place.
